personally, i think it's one of his best albums.
it marks a transition i think. shadows still has that 70's feel to gord's music and has his 70s voice.
salute has a different sounding voice (better than east of midnight) and has a real up to date feel to it. it should have had a lot more commercial success as well.
songs like the title track, knotty pine, without you, biscuit city and broken dreams are gord classics with a different feel to his 70s output.
