Good for a giggle, see the article in ORILLIA TODAY on the Ontario Provincial Police training their horses at http://www.simcoe.com/sc/orillia/sto...-1508798c.html

Excerpt:

Larry Stewart and Lightfoot the horse are deep in thought, the two of them engaged in a silent conversation only they can hear.
A ruddy-faced Westerner, with a pleased-to-meet-you smile and a handshake to match, Stewart 'speaks' to his trusty companion without uttering a word.

"I just 'think' it," he later tells a reporter by way of explanation. Staring at the ground and avoiding eye contact with the majestic animal, Stewart mentally commands the three-year-old quarterhorse to move to his rear.

Lightfoot quietly complies, backing up and swinging his hind end around.
