Hey Watchman, Welcome to my neighborhood! Hope you're enjoying your stay

Unfortunately your visit is during an unusual cold spell. I actually had to unpack my New Hampshire winter clothes for the first time in over three years to find a sweater the other day. Like JJ, I'm not familiar with Everclear - What venue did they play?
As for the Timmy B issue, I agree with a lot of you to varying degrees on different points. First, I feel that it's very clear from his post to the other sites as well as his post here, that he IS a fan. He mentioned song titles that he liked including his favorite from Harmony, so obviously he's buying the CDs. If he wasn't a fan he'd be spending those bucks elsewhere.
As Watchman said, it would have been nice if Timmy had been a little more forthcoming with his thoughts in his post here, but I can also respect The Intended's theory as to why he didn't and to some degree I don't blame him. His post did not contradict his posts to the other sites, it just left some things out. As Watchman also said, this is a Lightfoot fan site and not a place to criticize. If that's so, than Timmy did the right thing not to do so in this forum. These other sites he posted to are not Lightfoot fan sites and therefore he felt more comfortable expressing his negative thoughts on Lightfoot concerts. He obviously chose to respect the fact that some folks here are protective.
He doesn't enjoy Lightfoot concerts, so what! - as long as he continues buying the CDs and respecting the talent and enjoying the music (and he was never once disrespectful of either of those things), what's the harm in that? It just means that there will be more tickets available to Lightfoot's sold out concerts for those with the different expectations that bjb mentions.
There are different levels of fandom and we really should make an attempt to respect them all - from the giddy first timer hearing these wonderful songs with a fresh ear, to the seasoned fan who knows all the song titles and lyrics and what albums they're on and every ounce of trivia available to be known, to the in between fan who may have several albums and enjoy them tremendously, but may not have the same desire as others to go see a concert or know all the details of his personal life. The most important thing is that we all benefit from and appreciate Lightfoot's music, even if the benefits are different for each of us, just as the songs can mean something different to each of us. All levels of fans should be welcomed here and embraced and nurtured.
Who knows what we could accomplish if we did this. When I first found this site, I was more of a casual fan - I knew the name, I had a few albums and I liked the songs I was familiar with. Over the years, my level of fandom has changed due to reading other's thoughts. I may still be closer to the bottom level than the top level, but I have more CDs, I'm familiar with more songs and have found new favorites that I never would have known about, plus I have a much greater understanding and appreciation of his talents and contributions. Who knows, if we as a group had been the least bit open to Timmy's thoughts on his concert experiences, over time we may have been able to turn him around and change his mind - instead he's been "banned from the club."
(edits were to correct credit to the poster of comments mentioned - both times, same poster. Hopefully I got it correct this time
