Hi, Songs change in little ways. I've been singing for many years ( is it really 50 now) and sometimes the words just come out that way.
I can appreciate those of you slugging it out in a cubicle. But try operating a skill saw and playing the radio in your mind. Anyway, a good Gordon Lightfoot song can carry you through a long day.
Many is the time I am working , especially when doing a restoration on an old building, that I think about those old time carpenters that didn't have the advantages of power tools, and...sure enough,
Canadian Tailroad Trillogy starts playing in my head. It is always a great inspiration.
Just think: Those railroad trestles had to be rebuilt every seven years because they had no creosote to preserve them at first.Incredible
amount of labour and timber involved.
"Laying down track, and building the bridges.
Bending our backs 'till the railroad.....is done."
May you find a song to get you through your day...every day.
Best regards, Dan
