Re: Try Firefox to access Corfid.com

I suspect you are quite right. However, it's the site provider's duty to keep things up to date. That is, unless Corfid is running off his own server and has never kept up with updates/improvements.

Re: Try Firefox to access Corfid.com

This is really weird. Only Firefox works, Edge Chromium and Chrome don't. Corfid needs to contact their web provider. They're not getting what they're paying for.

Tony Rice

Condolences to the family of Tony Rice, a world renown bluegrass musician and expert guitarist. He was especially profound using the "flatpicking" style which is difficult to learn and perform. Tony...

Re: Try Firefox to access Corfid.com

Tried with the new Chrome Edge and it wouldn't work. Why in God's name would a website be consigned to work with only one browser. What in the world happened?

Re: Favourite Song on "Solo" Album

I have the album on both CD and vinyl and I really prefer the vinyl. I'm sure the vinyl was mastered using the same elements as the CD, but Warner's really did a nice job on the pressing. It's not...

Re: Do you think the song ',For Lovin Me,' is chauvinistic?

I think the song is just a snapshot in time of a guy with a chip on his shoulder. I suspect Meredith got a hold of her father and filled his head with notions.

Re: ABC news entertainment review of SOLO

Just got the CD in today, the vinyl version comes April 3. Small detail, but it's nice to see the old Warner Bros. logo on one of his records once again.

Solo date change

I just got notified by Amazon that the delivery of the Solo album has been delayed to April 3. I don't know if it's for the LP or the CD or both, since I ordered both.

Re: NEW album - 'SOLO' -LISTEN to SONG - Gord & guitar only - MARCH 20,2020

Seafarer:
Yeah, the Amazon listing says Gord discovered a cd of these songs from 2001 and 2002. It appears they're not newly recorded.

I would suspect Gord's leg injury perhaps delayed things.

Re: Gordon's Master Recordings

I haven't read anything about Gord losing master tapes. I did read that Neil Diamond was among those who lost something, just what I don't know. It's odd, I know that Neil owns all his masters, so...

Chicago Mayor Lightfoot

Many of you may not know this but there is a very good chance that the next mayor of Chicago will be Lori Lightfoot. As of this writing on March 25, 2019, she is way ahead of her opponent. Both...

Re: What will Gord's new songs be about?

I'm wondering just how much money he wants to spend on recording the album. Will he return to the studio in Hamilton, or even record in his own house. These days you can have an entire recording...

Re: Alexandria, VA article/interview-June 2018

If you're turning 80, aren't you entering your 9th decade? 1-10 first decade, 10-20 second, 20-30 third, 30-40 fourth, 40-50 fifth, 50-60 sixth, 60-70 seventh, 70-80 eighth, 80-90 ninth....

Re: Concert in Flagstaff AZ

Don't forget, Gord has emphysema and his lungs can't adapt to changes in environment the way a person with healthy lungs (and younger) can adapt.

Re: Video - Art Bell Interviews Gordon

RIP, Art. I would listen to his show almost every night. At one point in the '90s you could scan across the AM radio dial late at night and hear the show coming in from stations all over the country....

Re: Neil Diamond Retirement

I think it's a tribute to the emotional attachment we get to musicians who mean a lot to us. I was a big George Harrison fan, my favorite Beatle. When he died, I didn't want to listen to any of my...

Has Neil Diamond's retirement due to illness caused anyone here to rethink how they'd like Gord to bow out one day? I'm leaving the question simple to encourage a broad spectrum of ideas. Obviously,...

So, a lot of things go running around in a Lightfoot fan's mind. Did Gord and his surrogates wait until a "tipping point" was reached before he "mentioned" to an interviewer that he had a lung...

Some of that could be from what I think he said was having his diaphragm cut into three times during various surgeries after the aneurysm.

Re: Interview - Nov.17-2016

You don't nurse emphysema back to health. It's a permanent, progressive disease.
