3 Lightfoot Albums Among Amazon Canada's Top 4 Best Sellers in Music
 

I was pleased to see that, earlier today (about 11 a.m. Eastern Time), three of Amazon Canada's top four "Best Sellers in Music" (across all genres) were Gordon Lightfoot albums!

Solo was #1, Complete Greatest Hits was #3 and Gord's Gold was #4.

(Amazon Canada's #2 "Best Seller in Music" was 21 Number Ones by Kenny Rogers (who sadly died this past weekend).)

The broadcasting of the documentary movie Gordon Lightfoot: If You Could Read My Mind (2019) on CBC Television (the main network) this past Sunday evening presumably reminded a large number of Canadians about many of the superb songs that Lightfoot has written and recorded.

(I went to see the movie three times (over a four-month period) when it was screened at theatres in Toronto last year. I enjoyed really watching the documentary again on Sunday night and hope that it eventually gets released on DVD.)

Currently, three of Amazon Canada's top five "Best Sellers in Music" (across all genres) are still Lightfoot albums. (Solo is still #1, 21 Number Ones by Kenny Rogers is still #2, Lightfoot's Complete Greatest Hits is still #3, Ordinary Man by Ozzy Osbourne is #4 and Gord's Gold is #5.)
