Anne Murray ?
I first learned of her and a Canadian Country artist but it sounds like she was more than that.
Here's a song she released a year after Snowbird. Seen covered a Beatles song sounding exactly the original, can't remember what it was. |
Re: Anne Murray ?
Anne Murray covered songs in every genre...the voice of an angel - a songwriters best friend..
Hit after hit after hit throughout her whole career... GOOGLE will help with the info.. :) |

We saw Anne Murray in concert once @ Valley Forge Music Fair (in the Philadelphia, PA area). She was great, and what a dancer, too! Gail |
Re: Anne Murray ?
Yep it was a BEATLES tune..(P.McCartney).. she covered so many tunes and made some folks a lot of money.. She was a regular on the Glen Campbell show and they were great friends. She said he helped her so much with her career..She's just released a 2 cd set of tunes she chose as her own faves, not just hits, that I got for my mum. I follow her on TWITTER and she is hilarious..Her daughter sings and is also an artist. Her son is a writer I believe and he has a couple of kids. The Anne Murray Centre in Nova Scotia just had a big anniversary and Anne, as usual was there. My fave of hers is the one that started it for her, SNOWBIRD, written by Gene Mclellan from NS.http://www.annemurray.com
