Lightfootin' in Chatham
Just got back from the Wednesday night concert in Chatham. Great smaller venue (it’s a renovated movie theatre).
Here is the set list and a few highlights: NOW AND THEN WAITING FOR YOU THE WATCHMAN’S GONE 14 KARAT GOLD MINSTREL OF THE DAWN MAKE WAY FOR THE LADY Introduced band and mentioned that Chatham is the hometown of Sylvia Tyson, then the usual shoutout to Ian & Sylvia and Peter Paul & Mary. SHADOWS BEAUTIFUL LET IT RIDE MUCH TO MY SURPRISE CAREFREE HIGHWAY DID SHE MENTION MY NAME RIBBON OF DARKNESS SUNDOWN Intermission. For the first song of the second set, only Mike came out and they did . . . DRINK YER GLASSES EMPTY SWEET GUINEVERE Longer intro about the specific path of the Fitz and explanation of lyrical change . . . WRECK OF THE EDMUND FITZGERALD NEVER TOO CLOSE ALL THE LOVELY LADIES I’D RATHER PRESS ON To Rick – “Should we do the Dylan tune?” – “Sure” . . . RING THEM BELLS IF YOU COULD READMY MIND RESTLESS BABY STEP BACK EARLY MORNING RAIN Encore. “Here’s the surprise of the evening” . . . RAINY DAY PEOPLE Another good show.
