While posting Happy Birthday wishes I realized how much we all owe Florian for this website.

Thank you for corfid.com! If you had told me 15 years ago that a bulletin board re: Gordon Lightfoot would have added friends and adventures to my life I would have smiled politely but remained skeptical.

Now almost 16 years after my first post about "Gordon Lightfoot in concert to benefit Sheppard Pratt's Care For Kids Fund at Goucher College in Towson Maryland March 12, 2000" I am very grateful for this website.

After countless* concerts in many States and 2 countries and great times shared with lovely people the impact on all our lives is hard to measure. Everyone I know has heard at least one story about GL. Thanks again.

You have to admit this site has had a lot of influence (even for you lurkers, lol)

it's been my pleasure and honour to help out here - my life has been enriched beyond measure and in countless ways by being part of this site and coming to know so many lovely people who have a L.O.L. (Love of Lightfoot) like me!!

i thought the same. i joined up in 2000 and thought it'd just be a passing fad at the time. boy, was i wrong!. met a lot of online friends over the years that have been generous and warm through that time

To Florian (and Char),

I'll add my grateful thanks for your efforts in creating and maintaining this website. Besides providing a wonderful source of Lightfoot news and discussion, Corfid has inspired me to travel to a North American concert and enabled me to meet Lightheads in Australia and North America and to get to know others around the world on-line. May it long continue!

I'm relatively new here, but my thanks to Florian (and Char) for starting & maintaining this site! It's so nice to "meet up" with other Gordon fans here and share our admiration for "our" troubadour!

I'll add my thanks to both Florian & Char, as well! And thanks to Bill for thinking to do it. We too often take for granted who makes all these things happen so it's good for us all to take a moment to say thank you! And while we know this is a labor of love, I've no doubt there's still alot of labor involved!

I would wager that no other entertainment act has a fan run website that even starts to be comparable with Florian's creation. For the benefit of anybody who has not seen it before, or has forgotten it, or would like to read it again i will give the link to my own very first posting here in 1999. it is a new thread I started at:-

i will add my thank you for this site. I joined after I spoke with two Lightfoot fans at the airport following my first/only Massey Hall concert. I have loved being a part of this family, even if I am gone for a while. I have "met" several new friends here and their friendships have greatly enhanced my life. I look forward to the day that I will actually meet them in person, but until then, thank you for this wonderful site.

Ditto too!!! Wish I had access to a site like this earlier! Was a fan for 16 years before seeing Gord in Toronto. There was no other way for me to get news on his activities. Thank You!!!
