FANS FROM MID 70's to 1981 who attended concerts or heard about this: -

does anyone recall an incident when a MALE fan, who was probably inebriated either ended up on a table top or on the floor in front of the stage, Gordon mentioned it from the stage and linked it to a song... ???

Sorry, no, that's a new one on me. Saw Gord on May 3 1974 at Monroe Community College (Rochester NY). Lots of Frisbee throwing preconcert and one of guitars broke a string early on which did not sit well with him, changed it on stage. Actual performance was good, voice in its prime but he was a little tense or curt ... not much chatter in those days. Everybody was, uh, feeling good but nobody acting that big an idiot.
