Ron Sexsmith
Earlier this week, Sunday 12th, Radio2 had Ron live on a show by Terry Wogan, promoting a forthcoming tour here in the UK. He sang two songs live Can't Get My Act Together and Jennifer Juniper, a Donovan thing from the 60s. From that I heard he will be over here in June. Have just bought a ticket. Looking forward to it. It is a pity that due to copyright restrictions you may not be able to hear what he did on BBC's iplayer. There is a 12 minute recording of the whole interview with the 2 songs.

You'll love Ron...I do. ;) He's an amazing songwriter and such a nice guy-humble to a fault...but so respected. and he is hilarious. I follow him on TWITTER and his puns make me smile every day.. I listened to the BBC show the other day - You're going to enjoy yourself for sure! (sad that people dwell on his sombre look...I've seen him smile many times!lol)

Re: Ron Sexsmith
He even looks a little like Gord did @ the time of the Sundown album. Both performances were very enjoyable. Thanks!

Re: Ron Sexsmith
Saw Ron at a beautiful venue in Bristol last night., outstanding, the place was close to full audience knew most of the songs, unlike me, and they responded as he played the various intros. He had a band backing him up, lead guitar, bass, drums and piano. Ron did 3 numbers on the piano, also a couple of songs without the band. Got a standing ovation at the end. I was impressed and enjoyed the evening. Worth the 230 mile round trip. Mark me down as a fan.
Hopefully, pictures of venue. http://www.bing.com/local?lid=YN1006...ge=True#photos |
