That's Gordon Lightfoot in his true form.

No punches pulled with this ultimate pro.

What you see is what you get with him and those of us who have come to know the down to earth kind of guy he is can see just how bright he shines through in this fantastic video.

What an amazing mentoring force he really is.

I don't know how it works with the internet and all but I would gladly pay for whatever the cost would be to have this great video as part of my collection in the Gordon Lightfoot room of my house.

Thanks Tony for the sharing.

hey Ron… hope all is well:) great find TG, thanks for the share …long time since seeing this!

ok, so i don't think that Terry played in this…see Rick is on the right side also, giving away to other lead player preference perhaps … Terry not on the EOM album so for this tune it makes sense that Gord used the session player… I've worked with Mike Francis and know it's not him … I'm thinking Michael Landeau … could be Bob Mann… thoughts?

did nobody notice Rick on the opposite side than usual, and the lead player?

I can't come up with a better inferring than it being Michael Landeau

Wayne doesnt have him listed as a "touring" player that year, it's a one off?

As a matter of fact Jimbo I had started drafting a reply on those very lines yesterday and had said
OK whilst everybody else was mesmerised by the hair I noted an unusual figure on lead guitar
There are several views clearly depicting Rick but at 0:42 and 2:07 is a guitarist who to me looks unlike either Red or Terry and in the first one looks a tad like Tom Petty to me
below with Stevie Nicks on Silent Night impressionist

Or the irrepressible impressionist Jimmy Fallon perhaps

In 2003, I saw Michael Landau as lead guitarist in a James Taylor concert at the Melbourne Concert Hall. He was unbelievably good! He even had audience members calling that out to him between songs.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Landau
And I see from his Wikipedia profile that his early-1980s band Maxus included Doane Perry, who went on to be Jethro Tull's drummer for several decades.

Rick says it was Terry..He says that's how the TV folks wanted the configuration - RIck on left and Terry on right..
