Perhaps you know this song was written by Neil as a result of one of his band members dying from drugs and with all this talk of legalization of such stuff in the US, perhaps everyone who supports it should hear this song.

Probably won't have much impact on them.

Neil just quit smoking weed a couple of years ago..he was a big user all of his life..

It was easy for him to quit apparently. He just never wanted to...then he did.
Sort of like the alcohol and Gord... Decision made, then full stop..

The song, which is very good, is about heroin not marijuana. Just to be clear there is no talk of legalizing heroin in the US.

Doesn't matter was Neil's singing about or what drugs they're legalizing.


The point is the song is an example how bad drugs are for you and it's a song anyone who think of using this stuff should hear.

i wonder how many people that listened to that,
back then,actually (if any) quit based on hearing it alone?

I'd be amazed if even one did. It's be a great world if peole took a simple
piece of common sense,played out in a song and took it to heart as sound advice.
