I was on a red eye from LA to Philadelphia when he passed away. My cousin picked me up at the airport and before he even said hi, he told me about Elvis.

I was at Lake Taupo in the middle of New Zealand's North Island on a holiday with my parents and brother. It's the earliest celebrity death I can remember.
