Winter Songs.

Have to admit, I'm not a fan of the season. But there are some good songs for the season and we're getting close and don't know about Canada but some parts of the US got some snow in recent weeks.

1st one is by "Blood Sweat & Tears" from these 2nd LP, first one with David Clayton Thomas, although he doesn't sing lead in this one and the name of the man who I understand is their guitarist escapes me for the moment.

Next one is by Carole King, pre-Tapestry.

I know these photos seem out of place with the song itself but it was only 1 out 2 good recordings of this song I could find.

Certainly sounds more jazzier than Jazzman.

On November 7th, I woke up with a Moody Blues Song in my head called The Story In Your Eyes. That was a most beautiful morning, so I've been thinking about some of their music lately, and thought this one would fit in here. Nice?

Don't have a link for them, but I love Jethro Tull's "Solstice Bells" & "Skating Away" (on the thin ice of a new day).

Blood Sweet & Tears' "Sometime in Winter" is gorgeous. Always loved that song!

"Ring Out Solstice Bells" is on 2003's "The Jethro Tull Christmas Album", which is my favourite Christmas album. The other songs on it are "Birthday Card At Christmas", "Holly Herald", "A Christmas Song", "Another Christmas Song", "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen", "Jack Frost And The Hooded Crow", "Last Man At The Party", "Weathercock", "Pavane", "First Snow On Brooklyn", "Greensleeved" (a reworking of "Greensleeves"), "Fire At Midnight", "We Five Kings" (a reworking of "We Three Kings"), "Bouree" and "A Winter Snowscape".

Our Winter Love - YouTube

Thanks for bringing this one to light there Affair on Touchy Ave.

It prompted me to go back and research the original thread which was posted on Nov 20/2009. It was a very nice feeling just reading through all the posts connected to that particular piece of music composed by Johnny Cowell who along with being my friend, is now also my neighbour since we're living back in the Scarborough Bluffs area of Toronto. Johnny is getting up there in years but he told me he is still playing the trumpet and played a concert last May.

Thanks again and best to you in 2014.

It's still winter here. It was a windy, snowy day.

Please enjoy this beautiful, wintry, christmas? song.

wow, nice song, joveski. (how did you post a video? i can only get it to post a link now).

p.s. i just happen to know enough of love to leave love enough alone. I haven't been with anyone for 12 years, and that was my husband. only got a few innocent hugs and kisses since then with some nice guys, but nothing beyond that. that was several years ago too.....
