I have always considered 1957 as the pivotal year in my own appreciation of
Rock and Roll and ultimately only 9 years later to Gordon because in summer 57 (about the time that I bought at great expense my first transistor radio) in rapid succession there exploded onto the music scene The Everlys Paul Anka then The Crickets then Buddy Holly.
