Does Your Mother Know? By Donna O....bravo!
Mark Shannon put together an interesting production here. Lots of very likable things about this. From a few months ago... |

Very sweet version, and the only one other than Gord's original that I'm aware of.
When this song came out in the early years I was very moved by it, having just recently arrived in Toronto from Newfoundland. Lyrically it's a testimony to just what went on in the lives of East Coast Maritimers in those days. It's yet another beautiful piece of Gord's work that we don't get to hear ofter enough. |

oh, my favourite cut off of our own, Tom Granata's tribute album, is THAT very song... wonderful piano arrangement that takes some license with the intro and it works very well...it's a real nice cd you only get a heartfelt snippet here...other 30 second samplers on the net have the intro i speak of... http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/TomGranata google Left Foot Lightfoot, etc...there is a discussion thread archived here also |
