Jeff Tweedy vs Gordon Lightfoot
this is part of this light-hearted interview:
http://honoluluweekly.com/cover/2011/08/going-solo/ Tweedy is hailed as one of the most respected (and least pretentious) songwriters around. When asked to describe his singing voice in a New York Times article, he replied, “Somewhere between Gordon Lightfoot and a tea kettle. I wouldn’t get past the first round of American Idol.” |
Re: Jeff Tweedy vs Gordon Lightfoot
Definitely seems like a down-to-earth guy...

Jeff Tweedy on Lightfoot
i just stumbled across this interview with Jeff from a few years ago. the last question confuses me... would it be a postive or negative comment, but Jeff's always tongue in cheek!
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/07/05/ma...q4-t.html?_r=0 How would you describe your singing voice, in general? Somewhere between Gordon Lightfoot and a tea kettle. I would not get past the first round of “American Idol.” |
