wow, i need an aspirin! lol....now i know why i don't twit or tweet, mumble jumble....like re-reading one of my posts!;)

i dont' know what 'predicting it' means...maybe the songs?

i can't believe anyone truly hates the eagles or gl...one thing they have in common throughout the continent if not the world is that some of there more commercial tunes and simple arrangements are a learning ground for beginner guitar players or for folks who like to try sing and play chords or pick away...same for croce, taylor, s+g, blue rodeo, etc...

but i will say that i do hate those eagles tix prices (csny, fleetwood mac, pick floyd, etc) although from what i understand, henley and company's vocal range and tone has truly held up ...on the other hand they really don't move around the stage much (do they? perhaps joe does) whereas gord moves between 3 and 10 feet every concert! :)

it would be nice to see an all American band like them (they all are, aren't they?) do the Superbowl half time this year...maybe they want too much $$$ but after watching Petty (fine stuff but about as lively as lightfoot!) that there must be a more appropriate act with so much to chose from..of course 'that Brit' did a real fine job, but i never thought of the Eagles til this thread

i will say that these groups that have premature hyped Farewell tours (eg. the Who, the Eagles, etc) turn me off when i see them touring decades later...i don't see Gord promoting a tour that way without it being actually true and i dont' see that happening anytime soon:) or at least until Canada Freezes Over, lol (which is will actually happen in about 60 days...get that lid on the pool, char!;))

ok, you know i am just ribbing you, of course (if not, maybe you'll give this fellow member the benefit of the doubt which doesn't seem to be common practice here...some seem to be waiting and hoping to bounce on something borderline...i'm not going to state anything blatantly sexist but you see it all the time throughout the internet. no?...and btw, the converse seems to be the case when the celebrity figure is a woman..i suppose i better add that this is just my opinion, but it is based on about 50 boards and about 15 years or studying white rats, i mean humans:))

i'd support members here but some don't need defending...maybe it didnt' think it was going to go under the microscope before the quick copy and paste...BUT wait, Gord fans bashing another member (moderators included) seems to be tolerable of late?????????...i'm forgivable to a fault but i'd hum and haw over that kinda of stored up artillery lighting up the sky, it may be the TK way but not the corfid way, is it?...the posting of second hand stuff (from tweets or opinion of the press) taking jabs at celebrities or even poking fun at Gord or the band PALES in comparison to the former...that's not just my opinion but it must be fact, no? but your provide good food for thought as we do put up much text from others for reaction and i guess that may be interpreted as if the words were coming from own mouths, as if we are endorsing them (which actually IS often the case and intent, speaking for myself)

anyhow, no need to reply but wanted to give my 2 cents (or $20 worth, lol) more as i was involved (in hindsight, perhaps instigated it, i first mentioned 9-11 after find out what the RW+B tune was all about) in at least one thread that got heated, to my shock and awe, and i maybe have been the doofus who unknowingly stirred the pot or at least helped bring it to a boil

but there was some good come from it, i learned from it, i learned that TK wasn't just another country dude and that using or even posting the R word is ill advised as it means something stronger than up here...we actually are proud to call ourselves that in this area, lol YouTube - Canada Games

i also learned TK has another Soldier tune that he 'left at the border' which i will check out...thanks for the tip on the moving Eagles song, i will check it out....and char, thank you for bringing up Leaves of Grass in another thread, I hadn't heard that in decades and am getting a bit glassy eyed trying to noodle it on the keys...gord's vocal on that is so rich and fitting, Jessica must have been especially proud of her boy when she heard that one

can we close the 401 and parade them down the highway of heroes for a homecoming? after all, we seem to not hesitate to close nearly all roads for bi weekly marathons. lol

even if some cause and effect facts may be skewed (imo), thanks for voicing your thoughts in acceptable fashion, misty...i find it hard to believe some good members have left over nonsense, i've just assumed they were busy or the gord buzz came and went or came a settled a bit or they may be back under a new user ID (not to mention any names, lol)....anyhow, good health to them all...i don't open my door to any strangers, and my house has not yet fallen down:) but as far as i know, this corfid door is always open....perhaps any who have unpredictable side effects as the result of meds (the very best of health to those:) ) or who are drinking excessively should go into lurker mode for those stints...although i think posting and pot can mix, i've yet to see a pothead get hostile...they usually just fall asleep

ps) lol, in that longwinded post i forgot to accomplish my main mission: i unconditionally apologize (for whatever words i may have used that was interpreted as intentionally trying to ruin another's day) to my fellow members (ie. my fellow Water Buffalos...we are after all going to be wearing those hats next convention, are we not? i just hope no fellow member is wearing one seated in front of me!:cool:))
