His voice sounds great in this one. I really think he'll do Restless on 10/8 although Shadows would be another good choice IMO. I miss the moustache too, Char.

jjo, you're videos are private...i was gonna check out if you made any progress in the transferring...i got this clean hifi version of this from a CBC closet...i love Pete's voice in stereo....i wonder how may smoke breaks these two took during the taping:whistle:

I didn't make any progress jj & I agree with Gzowski voice in stereo. When I watch my DVD of this program it is very clear & full stereo sound. The music is almost as good as the recording. Gord & the guys really show their perfections in this tv studio. I really miss Peter Gzowski, there is something going on every year about this time for (literacy ?) @ The Capitol Theatre here, and they have a big poster of Gzowski... I guess it must have been something he was a spokesman for. You guys must know for sure.

What a great performance, and Gord delivers it in his characteristically understated style. I'd say the audio is easily as good as what you would find on the album version of this particular song.

As Gord himself admits, he has written many songs that have Canadian imagery in them, and Restless is no exception. But whenever I hear it, I think that he has truly captured the essence of Canada, particularly its vastness.
