Guitar solo on Baby Step Back
For ages I've been trying to figure out what kind of guitar is used in the two solos in Baby Step Back. It's not Terry's Gretch Country Gentleman because Dean Parks is credited as the player. I've always loved the bluesy, smooth sound of the guitar and I'm dying to get one of my own that sounds just like it. Does anybody know what guitar was used?

Re: Guitar solo on Baby Step Back
an e-mail to Wayne may also bring the answer...I've not seen the Griffin performance but at www.Lightfoot.ca the Parks appearance is mention (below) ...he's likely using the same guitar and pickup that was used for the studio session solos:
THE MERV GRIFFIN SHOW - SYN - 1982 Lightfoot performs Baby Step Back, Blackberry Wine and a medley of Beautiful and If You Could Read My Mind. Interestingly, Dean Parks sat in on lead electric guitar, with Terry handling the chores on acoustic for Baby Step Back. |
