false advertising or just effective promo?
either way, I would think 90+ % of ticket buying fans would enjoy the evening immensely:) but it seems so deceiving to intentionally and quite precisely synch up his 70's vocal recordings with his more recent teaser video clips
I would suppose more than a few first time and/or long time absent attendees would be just a little startled if Gord were to break into Carefree Highway for openers, after having been stoked by the polished ad...I now forget what my point was |
Re: false advertising or just effective promo?
lol
choice 3 - rm should be executed!! ack!! you're bad jj! |
Re: false advertising or just effective promo?
Lol...I voted for all of the above, too. :)
I don't know...I think most of the people just 'know' that voice and expect it to sound like that. I don't believe most true fans are upset when the vocals don't sound like the promo or like his voice did in the 70's. I wasn't. I was thrilled to be in the same space and listen to him sing. He is one of the most brilliant songwriter/musicians of our time....nothing about him has ever disappointed me in any way. |

That's not funny. However, I did cast MY vote for #3. It just seems right. |

Re: false advertising or just effective promo?
I think I'll reserve judgement on it.
