That sounds like a story I heard before... Char at one particular hallowe'en ! Thanks jj that was enjoyable. :) |
Re: Steve Earle - best story ever
Steve seems to have lost both the extra weight and his hair in the last several years..
Maybe he'll write a tune about his Lightfoot session.. |
Re: Steve Earle - best story ever
What a fun story...can you imagine, poor Steve get's dropped off at the driveway, slightly shaky knees while ringing the doorbell...to meet his 'hero' for the first time...:p
Probably had a similar nervous feeling in his stomach like I did when I met Gordon for the first time...For sure I won't forget that. I must admit that only very recently my friend RJ here from Corfid introduced me to Steve Earle's music, before that his name didn't ring a bell. But I truly like him, he's a great musician and songwriter. Unfortunately I missed his concert here in Minneapolis just a couple weeks ago. |
Re: Steve Earle - best story ever
I am more than surprised, but less than stunned, to hear of the mutual admiration between Lightfoot and Earle. I have a pretty decent collection of Earle's music.....but never imagined any connection between the two artists.
