Re: Eva Cassidy
Thanks for putting these up Jesse Joe.
Her voice is amazing....I am so happy to hear her music and have been listening to some of her other songs on YouTube. "I Know You By Heart" is another beautiful song she does. Thanks for the heads up on Eva. I don't know why I have never heard of her before but I am happy that I know about her now. |
Re: Eva Cassidy
Same here Nightingale, I did post those with you in mind, but Im now glad to see that you go on You Tube. You can find lots on there. :)

Re: Eva Cassidy
I have been at Amazon.co, looking around at her albums. I noticed she does another of my favorite songs, "Who Knows Where The Time Goes". Sandy Denny, the original singer of that song, (Fairport Convention) is a great female vocalist as well...she also died very young.
Eva Cassidy really can sing anything, I agree with you on that Brink. I think the "Songbird" album will be my first and I also liked "Imagine" alot. It's all good.... Jesse Joe, thank you for your kindness. I appreciate that you take the time to post songs that I probably would never hear otherwise. It makes me wonder how many other great singers I am missing out on....lol. YouTube....it's great. I spend more time there than I should but it's fun! |
Re: Eva Cassidy
If you click on Menu whilst playing then trawl across to 14, Nightline, there is a 10min retrospective on Eva, worth a view, for Somewhere over the rainbow.

Re: Eva Cassidy
Yes, I saw those and found them really interesting. She was an amazing talent and it's really sad that she didn't live long enough to enjoy her fame.
Did you know that she was also an artist? Her parents have a website with her artwork and sell notecards with her drawings and paintings on them...also prints of her artwork are available there. Some of it is very interesting and beautiful....some of it is actually pretty haunting. She had a thing about bubbles and featured them a lot in her paintings. |
Re: Eva Cassidy
I didn't know this Nightingale of course I just learned about her recently, searching for Lightfoot music.
Im sure you knew that your hometown boy Mellencamp also is an artist in his own way. I believe the two (arts & music) go together... Canadian Joni Mitchell is another one. :) |
Re: Eva Cassidy
Hi Jesse Joe,
Yes, John Mellencamp is talented in lots of ways. He sang for both Ms. Clinton and Obama when they hit our state to beg for votes. He wants a democrat in office and doesn't much care which one...lol. I thought that was kind of cute. Joni Mitchell also has artwork? Didn't know that about her. I think she has a lovely voice and is a great talent. You should go take a look at Eva's art work. If you put Eva Cassidy.com on search I think you can get there. I can try and post the link if it's allowed here... |
Re: Eva Cassidy
I saw Mellencamp clapping hands besides Obama, and I thought he was supporting him. So has long as it's a democrat for him. Im sure many Americans feel like him. :)

Re: Eva Cassidy
That was interesting.....thanks, Jesse Joe.
Looked like a lot of her fans were happy that her artwork was on display. That's nice that she finally shared it with everyone. |
Re: Eva Cassidy
I agree Nightingale, she's a Canadian treasure ! :)
