Make Poverty History - Gord Sighting
 

A Gordon Lightfoot Sighting!
Just caught a TV commercial for 'Make Poverty History - Canada' and thought I saw a familiar face flash onto the screen for a few seconds. Gordon Lightfoot has added his name to this cause along with a large number of other Canadian artists.

Although the site doesn't contain any further photos or info on Gord, you can find his name using the 'Search' feature. Those in Canada, keep your eyes peeled Gord's mug on this advertisement.

Lisa saw it the other day..I missed it.. they did it during the LIVE 8 concerts as well..

did you catch the news folks on GLOBAL on a commercial with quotes from different folks that they found enlightening and pertaining to news I suppose.??

Thanks Char. I hadn't seen the commercial before today. When I checked the site I didn't see the video. I also missed the GLOBAL commercial with Lauren McNabb quoting Gord. I thought I caught another one of the GLOBAL ads you refer to with another quote from Gord but have never managed to catch it again. Geezzz, it's a race between my eyesight and my mind to see which is lost first!

Haven't seen the commercial lately, but did see it shortly after they did Live 8 in Barrie Ontario and all over the world, 07/02/05. :)
