this is a link for anybody who is interested (as I obviously am), in cars/automobiles/motors. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/...C-mot_19092007 As you can see this is a stretched version of the BMW built new Mini to make an estatecar/station wagon, with an added back seat passenger door on just the one side and the article is extremely caustic and I found amusing about the German response to the writer when he pointed out that as it was for UK buyers on the "traffic" side ( not the pavement/sidewalk) it was as well as a rear hinged "suicide" door a double suicide door since to use it in the UK means getting out into the path of any passing traffic. The German excuses are priceless, as are the opening comments about the 1966 World (Soccer) Cup and the War sorry Vera!! |
Re: The new Mini Clubman
Hi,
I still prefer the old Mini Clubman, just as I prefer the old shape of the Mini Cooper, but it is kind of interesting looking. |

"Not a suicide door, then, more an assisted suicide door."
I like that. Well phrased. I like Minis a lot. Sadly not practical for the moment but my 15 year old daughter has decided this would be great for her in a couple of years. Um, yeah..... |
