Wes Steele has found some great pics of Lightfoot in 1958 it seems, as a young lad of 19 at Westlake College of Music in Hollywood, California. (Looks like summer pics before he turned 20 in Nov.)

please note that Buddy Hill (friend from Orillia) who Lightfoot mentioned in his phone chat with me is in a couple of photos as well. Mr. Hill passed away in 2003 in Las Vegas.

Gordon and the guys looked and sounded perfect at the two concerts I was at in Colorado. Ken and I live very close to where these pictures were taken. It is hard to believe that these men have been singing and playing as long as they have. To know them is to love them and I love them all. It is like we grew up together. Their singing and playing is super but they are all wonderful people as well.

I saw CHar's parallel posting on the Newsgroup. at least somebody else is posting over there!! and was able to see the 1957 group picture but missed the other one
as Gord is only a small part of the group picture I have cropped it and enlarged it to produce this study

I checked the bands and combos links hoping to see Gord the acclaimed drummer but no Gord pix there in the links section is an entry"latest lightfoot news" which surprise surprise is a hyperlink to where else but http://www.corfid.com!!

I e-mailed Jim at the site about corfid and told him I'd like to post the links and pics here at corfid and asked him to drop by with any memories he has..his link to Lightfoot news was busted..so he put www.corfid.com in there!

I love the Gordon Lightfoot "Jr." for one photo..lol
and he's the same size now as he was then....
There's hope for me to be the size I was when I was 19 once again!!
