Thankfully it was foiled by the alertness of an ambulance crew who were attending a reveller at the club 'Tiger,Tiger', on the Haymarket, close to Piccadilly Circus, where the car bomb was parked. Had it detonated, death and destruction would have filled our streets once again. There were car bombs containing explosives and nails used by the Irish rebels back in the 70s and 80s but this was almost certainly Islamic in origin.
I was in London on Tuesday and walked past the 'Tiger,Tiger'. It brings home - again - just how fragile our lives are while under this threat. And the threat will remain, no doubt about that. Scarey. |
It is scarey indeed Bru, even more so now that the news has broken about a second car bomb discovered before it could cause any harm.

Thanks Jenney and Bill, for caring.
And yes it is very scarey because if two car bombs have been discovered, there is probably a third. The whole of UK is now on High Alert, once again. I must be honest, I am somewhat bemused by their apparent lack of efficiency. TWO failed attempts? |
as expected, the third car bomb tried to blow up Glasgow Airport earlier today. What I really cannot understand is how these attempts are all failing.
Is Al Q. enrolling treble thick idiots now? This latest one was dragged from the car by an irrate Glaswegian (and as anyone knows, you dont mess with Glaswegians) who held on to him until the police reached him - ignoring the fact that the evil b*****d was ablaze! |
Congratulations to the alert people around these potential attacks, and to the police. I can't even imagine the disaster if these had been sucessful.

very troubling to think they are so inept..just what does that mean?
just what are they up to? stay safe... |
