I've been trying to find out the name of a song by him without success.
Song goes like There's too many window in this old hotel. Also even though the masses probably just know him as a soloist he actually started out in a group called The Coachmen. I know of 1 song by them released in 1968 called Maybe Time Will Let Her, there 1 more word in the tile which I can't think of. Anyway it's a pretty good tune. |
That would be 'Heart Hotels' from his 1979 album 'Phoenix'.
Heart Hotels Well there's too many windows in this old hotel And rooms filled with reckless pride And the walls have grown sturdy And the halls have worn well But there is nobody living in inside Nobody living inside Gonna pull in the shutters on this heart of mine Roll up the carpets and pull in the blinds And retreat to the chambers that I left behind In hopes there still may be love left to find Still may be love left to find Seek inspiration in daily affairs Now your soul is in trouble and requires repairs And the voices you hear at the top of the stairs Are only echoes of unanswered prayers Echoes of unanswered prayers (Repeat First Verse) Thanks to my wife who is a big Dan Fan. Check it out here: http://www.danfogelberg.com/index.html Bill :) |
oh and this from the FAQ section on old fogeys site:
Who are your favorite singer/songwriters? I think the 60's and 70's were the" Golden Years" of pop song writing. The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Gordon Lightfoot, and Buffalo Springfield really formed the core of my songwriting style. Today I’d have to say Sting stands above the rest. I’m also a huge fan of Randy Newman |
Two years ago it was reported Dan Fogelberg was battling prostate cancer. Has anyone heard anything regarding his current health status?

Well Thanks anyways. |
I searched the net in every way I could but nothing new about Dan since mid-last year.
From what I read,he's still winning the fight but has no future plans to record or tour. |
I wasn't able to find any new reports about Dan either. Thanks for searching Borderstone!
