someone at YouTube suggested Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull. I have no idea but it doesn't seem to be the sort of animation that Sesame Street used back then...

I don't know either but I emailed Sesame Street to see if they have an archivist on staff who could identify it, either as theirs or not, and if so, who the performer is. If I hear back, I'll let you know.

I've always thought that it was Cat Stevens. Certainly has the same vocal inflections and tone like he does.

I can't say for certain though.

I wiil disagree with you on this one BStone. I dont know who it is, but Im 99% sure it's not Cat Stevens. I might be wrong also. there is a 1% chance. :D :rolleyes: :)
