Some of you may remember the puppy who blessed our lives several months ago. She has now become The Gatekeeper Of The Greenhouse (could be a great sci-fi novel!) and will challenge anyone who crosses the threshold.

You'd best be prepared if you choose to enter... :D

Great David, I would be afraid of this watchdog. How cute, I bet she has a wonderful personality and gives you both a lot of joy (and is probably still a handful).

CUTE!!!
does she attack earwigs? I have a terrible infestation in the front garden!
help!!
;)

Thanks, Brink and Char. She is a handful all right. Very, very bossy and demanding, but a wonderful and fun personality overall.

And yes, she does attack insects. She was trying to kill a fly in bed the other night, and it made no difference to her who she landed on in the process!

Being a dog lover, that's a great pic of a nice looking dog. :)

Thanks, JJ. She's a great dog and we love the breed, which is a Cesky (Czech) Terrier.

Some animals are just natural at having their pic taken (much like some people have natural camera sense). That, however, does not include me. I'm one of those people who look like he's having his picture taken when he's having his picture taken. :D Once in awhile I get away with it, but not often, so that's why I prefer the dogs and cats to be in front of the camera.

She's such a cutie, David! How are the others taking to her bossiness? The elders haven't nipped her back to her place in the chain of command? :D

You're right, Janice. She doesn't get too far with the elders. She's still at the bottom of the pecking order, so the bossy behaviour tends to work better with the two-leggers than it does with the other four-leggers!

Ah, but then we who have four-leggers as companions know all too well that we two-leggers are at the very bottom of the pecking order. So it sounds like she is right where she belongs in the chain of command ;)

I can sympathize with your situation of her going after the fly, not caring where she landed in the process. I have a cat, Kalamazoo, who usually walks across my face to get from one side of the bed to the other and appears to see no problem with it. Many a morning I have gotten up with a scratch across my cheek because of it.
