i like it a lot. the brass makes it sound weird but it's a very good cover. doesn't sound liker 1965 gord to me, though

There's nothing really weird about horns being used on late 1960's recordings. They were pretty much a fixture for awhile at that time. Listen to the song,"Sunny" by Bobby Hebb. It has a wonderful horn arrangement. "Touch Me" by The Doors is another and what I feel is the greatest use of brass for a single hit song. Of course, the masters of this were Blood Sweat and Tears and later Chicago (the group). Gordon was just one of many that utilized horns or brass instruments. They were later replaced when artists started adding string arrangements (which was thought to be weird in the early '70s. Tom Thumb itself is to me just another great entry in the Gordon Lightfoot songbook. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif It's been the B! Catch ya on the flipside of Sundown! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/cool.gif
