SUNDOWN - good job spreading the word. We need more cooperation like this.
Bill :) |
Yep, thank you seafarer - I just got mine, scored second row Pit and I'm feeling completely giddy... :)
|
I will match that and raise you two giddys. I'm Main Floor, Section 1, Row 7.
|
Yes great job everybody..
My Ticketmaster site quit loading at 5 minutes till 10 behind this firewall where I'm currently doing a project (of course).. I was cursing the gods and fuming for 15 minutes.. called a loyal Lighthead up and she logged in as me and got us a couple in the balcony front right on the side.. just up above Terry in the front row.. kind of a new perspective.. so its all good.. Saturday night on Hennepin Avenue!! yippee!.. Good seats.. and good times.. See you all there.. (and see the rest in Cedar Rapids next month.. I'll be in the front row there; stop by and say hello).. |
Hey Gitchigumee, that's great!!! Life is really good today. Shortly before the concert we should see who is going from this group and maybe meet for dinner before the show. What do you think??
|
Yes! Most definitely!
|
Ticket sales seem to be brisk, if you order now, you get only row U - and it's just three hours after they started. I wouldn't be surprised if it sells out very fast.
The first scalper appeared on ebay already - two tix second row and you have to churn out $300.00, ouch! |
Got ours, too!! :) :) Was at the dentist at 10:00, but got them ASAP! Awesome!!!! Hey! Saturday, Sept. 22 guys!!! Thank you, thank you everyone!
|
:) :) Just thinking, how many of us will be there.
It would be cool to meet. |
Oh, we are MF1, Row Q, seats 13 & 14. I suppose that I COULD have put the last three posts into one. LOL! :) :) Just got SO excited!!!!!!
|
Don't forget the next night too kids..
Duluth on the Gitchee Gumee.. Gotta keep an eye on Ticketmaster.. A Gord weekend to close out the summer in grand style I say.. etc.. |
I'm doing Milwaukee on 9/19, Rochester (hopefully) on 9/21, and Minneapolis on 9/22. This is crazy!
|

Hi all. I am on an email list for the Hennepin Theatre Trust which manages the State Theatre, Orpheum Theatre and the Pantages in downtown Minneapolis. They sent an email this morning announcing the pre-sale with the secret code word: Sundown.
I was stuck in a meeting most of the day and unable to order my tickets until late afternoon. I ended up in Row T which is about 2/3 of the way back on the main floor. Not awful seats but not as close as they should have been prior to general sales. My suspicion is that the pre-sale tickets are spread throughout the theatre and are not all concentrated towards the front. Oh well, I would guess this concert will sell out and I will be glad just be in the place. I actually like to sit in different places anyway and not always be up front. RMD and RJ... We are in the third row of the Orchestra Pit in Cedar Rapids on June 30. Let's say hello !! Minneapolis Story from the November 2000 Concert: The Hard Rock Cafe is right next to the State Theatre in downtown Minneapolis and is a possible gathering place if anyone wants to get together before the concert Sept 22. In November 2000, I was with Jenney, Darin, Derek and a few others at the Hard Rock before the concert. Barry Keane and his wife were there with us and I'm trying to remember if someone else from the band was there with us as well. Check out Wayne's website for the dates and setlists. FYI.... It was a Saturday night concert. We had wanted to visit Gord backstage after the concert but were told he probably was not going to stick around after the concert. Gord and Rick were going to leave Minneapolis first thing Sunday morning to attend the 25th anniversary service at Mariner's Church in Detroit Sunday morning. The rest of the band went to Duluth. The group of us fans met up in Duluth at Grandma's Saloon before the sunday night concert at the DECC right off of Lake Superior !! I will never forget how powerful the Duluth concert was, especially after considering how Gord had just performed Saturday night in Minneapolis and had just flown in to Duluth from Detroit after the church service that morning !! Just as the November gales would have it, I left the concert hall off of Duluth harbor in a rainstorm and when I got to the top of the hill heading south, we had a decent snowstorm. Drove back to the Twin Cities on windy, snowswept roads arriving home at 1:30 a.m. or so. What a weekend !! Hope all of you planning multiple concert dates on consecutive days enjoy the times as much as I have. John/Forest Lake, MN |
Seafarer62,
The portion of your above post, about Gord going to the service at the Mariners' Church and then doing Duluth concert, just gave me the chills. What can one say? "The winds of November....." We get the emails from the Hennepin Theatre Trust, also, but was at the dentist at 10:00, so had to wait, but we have quite good seats. We are going to the same theatre this Saturday to see Garrison Keillor and the "Prairie Home Companion". (Not Gord, but it should be enjoyable.) |
Oops! in the preceding email, I meant to say "The
'gales' of November." (It was late a night :) ) |
re: are going to the same theatre this Saturday to see Garrison Keillor and the "Prairie Home Companion".
Interesting.. last Saturday quite on the spur of the moment (around 2:30 p.m.) I called up a chum and said, "let's go to APHC at the State!" She (being as crazy as I am) jumped in the shower, picked me up, we raced into Minneapolis town and got into line for the $15.00 "rush tickets".. there were about 5 people left in front of me when I finally approached the window when it sold out. Bummer. We shrugged it off and walked outside where a guy offered me front row tickets for 10 bucks under face-value!.. well what could I do.. I bought'm! The show was fantastic, Garrison was in a great mood as was Pat Donahue and the guys in the band. Sue Scott was terrific. Wilco (along with Becky Schlegel) was the musical guest and they did 3 songs the first hour and 3 again the 2nd. What great seats, a great show, and such a fine theatre. I'll tell ya folks, it's music and live theatre, that keeps me gettin up and goin on every day, in this cockamamie world.. etc.. [ May 17, 2007, 08:38: Message edited by: RJ ] |
