Dear friends,
as i told you in a previous topic, i decide to make a trip to New York to go to see Gord's show. Now i need your help, cause that's the first time that i buy tickets on line. So, that's my situation: i want to buy some tickets from Ticketmaster site, but i don't have credit card of my own, so i would like to pay with my father's card. So, do you think that will be a problem when i'll go to pick up my tickets the day of the show? On the Tickemaster site they say that only the cardholder can retrieve the tickets...... How does it work? Somebody can explain me? Thank you Max Florence, Italy |
It's true that only the cardholder can pick tickets up at will call and the person who bought them has to be present with the credit card purchased with and or an ID.
Buy the tickets online and have them sent to your address instead of picking them up at will call. It's a little more expensive to have them sent that way, but if your father won't be there to pick them up at the concert, you have no other choice. |
Hi Max
I think that TheWatchman is correct I have checked on the ticketmaster site and read "Our customer service representatives are available to help you between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. your local time, 7 days a week. Enter billing information Please have your credit card and billing information ready. If your credit card was issued by a United States bank, you may be asked for your Card Identification Number (CIN) which is located on the back of your card. Once you click on the "Submit Order" button, your credit card will be charged. You will have three minutes to review and complete this page. If your order is not completed in three minutes, the tickets will be released. For your protection, tickets can only by mailed to the cardholder's billing address. We will send a confirmation email with your event and billing information" I found a New Jersey customer service number but it is constantly busy, no doubt on long transatlantic enquiry calls from sundry Europeans trying to buy tix for The New York concert!! Dears John and Watchman,
thank you for your help, but there's one more thing that i don't understand. I look at ticketmaster site once again, and it seems to me that foreign buyers have only one choice on the delivery method, and that's the Will Call. Am i right? Can you please veryfy this for me? You have to excuse me but that's my first time. Max |
Hi Max,
You're reading it right. However maybe there's another way to do this. Here at corfid quite a few of us have bought & sold tickets for one another. I'm going to the Town Hall show so I could act as your "will call" or I could mail them to you. So if you are brave enough to send me an international money order I'll be glad to buy the tickets for you. I have references, LOL. Let me know if I can help, Bill :) |
Oh Bill,
i can't believe that you're so kind to me! What you propose me it's a big , big favour, it's a gift, and i obviuosly think that this is a good solution. So, if your offer is still on, i'm intentioned to follow that way and take your kindly help. That's a great thing you do for me, my friend, and i really don't know how to say thank you.... First, i have to go to my post office and see what i can do for sending you the money: you probably don't know, but italian post are very bad, so i have to get me some informations about the methods, including the money order that you suggest me. Then we have to deicide what to do when you'll get the tickets for me; i think that the better thing is that you'll sending to me by mail, so you'll be free and i'll be too, and we'll meet for sure at the concert. Bu anyway, i propose you to discuss about it off list, so write me at malarocca2003@yahoo.com when you can my friend. Thank you from deep of my heart. Max |
