Just thought I'd pass along that the Don Quixote album will be featured on the local NPR station 89.5 WSCL at 8:00 pm on a show called "Just Folks" for any Lower Delaware, or Southeastern Maryland fans!

That show broadcasts from Salisbury University which is just about 3 miles from our house. Thanks for the heads up.

My wife is from Salisbury, as her parents live about 3 blocks from the University! She couldn't wait to leave the area and go to Hood College in Frederick, since there are mountains there. She is not a beach person. We live in Montgomery County in MD and you are so lucky in Salisbury to have a great radio station, as the DC area has awful radio. We do have Mary Cliff, but she spents too much time giving the concert schedule for every little Starbucks in a 300 hundred mile radius and there are 100's of them! 0 http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif!! She could play more folk music if they posted all that on the WETA website. She never plays any Lightfoot. Boo Hiss!
Wish your station had real audio as I would of love to hear that LP, that is now out on CD. Go Shore Birds Baseball!! Mike [This message has been edited by Mike M (edited January 18, 2003).] [This message has been edited by Mike M (edited January 18, 2003).] |
Even though I have Don Quixote on CD and before that on vinyl it was a great treat to hear "7 cuts from Gordon Lightfoot's Don Quixote" on the air. Just knowing that other people were hearing it at the same time, as it was when it was first released was great. Thanks again for the heads up - that's a good show every week - but at 8:00 PM on Saturday I often forget to turn it on.
