I am hoping this link will work as I have just scanned the sheet that contains all the autographs for the entire band.

Gord,
Thanks for sharing your autographs. I'm envious. Am I correct in assuming that you met them all backstage?

Gord 10-03-2001 06:30 AM

Yes I met them all backstage after the concert, I was invited in along with 4 other brave souls who like me were shivering in the cold waiting for them to come out... actually Barry was the first as he was heading home and couldn't stay but he signed my paper and went back briefly and arranged for the 5 of us to go inside.

Woo Hoo! I got Gordon's autograph last night, after his Portland, Oregon show! And I didn't faint or hyperventilate upon meeting him, as I have always feared. I've heard over and over that he is very gracious with his fans, and I feel lucky to say that I have now observed that first hand. What a classy, sweet guy. Now I am treating all my friends to a "handshake from Gord, once removed." Aren't they lucky??

Brenda,
Please tell us more about last night's concert.
Rebecca

Sadly, I cannot. I had to work the evening of the concert and could not find a way out of it. But I couldn't bear the thought of Gordon being within a 20-mile radius of my home and not at least seeing his tour bus or something! So after I finished working, my husband and I drove into Portland. We arrived about 20 minutes before the show ended, and we entered the hall as people were leaving. I was fortunate enough to be allowed to stay, so I got to introduce myself to Gordon, shake his hand, look into his eyes, and get his autograph on a poster I won in a drawing after his April '00 show on the Oregon coast. I didn't have the guts to ask to have my photo taken with him, which I now regret! I just hardly knew how to act -- this was a 26-year-old dream come true!!! My life is now complete, except for that non-existant photo!!! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/wink.gif

Glad to hear you got his autograph, Gord would have been willing to have his pic taken with you. I asked him when he was in Brantford, that too was a 26 yr dream of mine as well. I think a lot of his fans are going to be taking his age into account when he swings into town on his tours. I would strongly urge any on this board to maximize every opportunity you have when meeting Gord and his band, they don't bite and they are VERY accomodating.

I've found Gord and the band to be extremely accomodating as far as autographs/photos..

Just go out back by the moving truck/bus/rental cars and wait after the show. It's almost definite that he and the band comes out to talk and sign..IMO, Rick Haynes is the most personable of the group..He usually doesn't get much attention as Gord or Terry does, so go talk to him and you will find it very rewarding..He may even offer you backstage passes like he did for us in Greensboro earlier this year..The entire band is very classy IMO..
