Is anyone on this list going to the concert at Place des Arts in Montreal? (By the way this concert is November 9th.) Is there another way to get tickets other than Place des Arts box office. I'd like to get closer tickets if I could. Currently they are booking Row Q, which isn't bad but would like closer.

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. Since I saw him in Burlington, VT I have to see him again!

Thanks for any help you can offer.

FINALY! ! !

The first Montreal Venue question. I was always wondering, if anyone would, ask about this great venue.

I might be attending that one. I have a niece who lives in the Montreal area. Unfortunetly she is not a GL fan.

It would be interesting to me to see how that province, which is different than the rest of Canada, would react to Lightfoot.

You say your in Row Q. I will email my niece, but I cant promise you anything. Keep trying, maybe someone else, will suggest something.

If I can help I will get back at you. Great venue, I know Bruce Cockburn plays in Montreal and he is much appreciated when he does...JESSE. :)

The interesting thing is these tickets are apparently only available through Place des Arts ticket sales. If you check out Gordon's concerts Montreal isn't even listed in most places.

I'm only 75 miles from Montreal so it's going to be difficult not to go..........

Betty, read the info about the Canadian concerts at my web site: www.gordonlightfoot.com . Specifically, main story paragraph 2. Good luck!

Hi Betty, My niece just emailed me back. And she says you can only purchase the tickets from:,"PLACE DES ARTS In Salle Wilfrid Pelletier."

There are many theatres in Place Des Arts, he will be at, Salle Wilfrid Pelletier. As oppose to Theatre St-Denis.

So unless you can contact someone here, that has ties with EMP (Early Morning Productions.)
Who maybe can help you, that, I dont know... Or what Val Magee was telling you to try.

It's either by phone, or use these links. Hope it will help you. Good Luck...Jesse

Did either/both of you obtain your tickets yet?

It would certainly6 be interesting to see Gord in Montreal...probably a majority of the attendees would be anglophiles...

Are either/both of you coming to Toronto in November?

Having seen gord at Place Des Arts three times in 1968 and 1969.

I guess your theory is correct Charlene certainly there were knowing guffaws when on April 15th 1969 Gord recounted the sorry and ribald story of a pair of Chinamen called if I remember correctly "How Come One" and "How Come Two"
No I cannot remember it and I think it was difficult to hear anyway

By the way Jesse the main and largest hall at P-Des-A is called I think (or it was then) Salle Maison(n)eauve "New House Hall"??

John that would be, Maison Neuve...JJ.

Char, I don't have tickets yet. I would prefer to go to Toronto to see him, but the expense of that and the trip is a bit much for us. (tickets, transportation, a place to stay, etc)
