Here's a technical one. Does anyone know if Gord plays any of his songs in a different key from that on the record, or what he used to play in concert? Just wondered, with this talk about changes in his voice.

Nope. Everything remains in the original keys. He does however, avoid the high notes like a plague. This year, the ending line of Beautiful is way low. He strains thru "The Songs of the future have been sung.." in CRRT. But he hasn't dropped any keys as yet. He stays in the range of A thru D, mostly in B or Bflat. Occastionally he'll drop as far down as Gsharp for songs like "If Children Had Wings" but that is rare.

I might also add, that at the concert I was at, at the end of August, I was particularlly mindful of his voice quality and pitch. As far as I could tell, the Baritone was almost back to 100% Clear, clean, and without any hoarsness left. His sustain and vibrato, nearly perfect, I'm pleased to say.

Thanks Rob, that's great to hear. He wouldn't want to change that old capo position now, would he?

Here is a question, does anyone know exactly what songs
" THE Master" does not sing any more because he can not hit the high notes? I recall a recent post from a fan at a recent concert, he asked for Summertime Dream , Gord told him he did not sing that one anymorebecause he can not hit the high notes.

I would bet that he doesn't do "Sunny Side of Life" much anymore. I know I have trouble hitting the high notes on that one now.
