I interviewed Gord at his home in Toronto in 1976 for a magazine article, & bought from Isaacs Gallery a 23x26" original colored-inks painting of G.L. done in 1969 by his good pal, artist Robert Markle. It's the work referred to in Markle's liner notes on "The Way I Feel" album. I just learned that Markle died in 1990, & am trying to track his art career & determine the painting's current value. Do any of you Toronto folks know of any art galleries, curators, museums, etc. who might know anything about Markle's work and/or this painting? Any info greatly appreciated!
