I have heard that there will be a Gordon Lightfoot movie, starring Bruce Willis as Mr. Lightfoot (probably because of his musical background) and Sam Waterston as Col. Tom Parker. Also in the movie, will be Paul Reubens as Paul McCartney and George Clooney as John Lennon. Plus, Johnny Depp will star as Bob Dylan!! It will be directed by David Lynch. I couldn't find anything on the web about it. Does anybody know if this is true?

I don't know where you heard that but it sounds very far fetched! Bruce Willis? He looks nothing like him even if they did use Hollywood special effect make up. If you go to the archived threads, there is a topic about who could play GL in a movie that was started by me a few months ago. "Who could portray Gordon in life story film". Check it out by clicking on the #8.

If they want to make a movie about Gordon Lightfoot,I know they can cast a better actor than Bruce Willis. Catch ya later! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/cool.gif

Say, Mr. Roberts: Is November 20 the same as April 1 where you hail from? ;^)

No, you are incorrect Paddle. Danny Devito is cast to play Gord.

You're close Mr. Watchman Sir but no cigar, it is Danny's co-star from the movie Twins, as soon as his gig in California is over. So the movie will be filmed in about 12 years by my reckoning. No offense to any political, sexual or musical orientation was intended by my comments so if you were offended it is not my intention but go ahead and whine anyway. Go ahead - you know you want to, so why not. Preach away.

A few years ago, the now-Governor of California had stated that he would be playing a composer, but not Gordon Lightfoot.

His exact words were , "I'll be Bach"

Brian,

Good one, can I use that ?

That joke came from Rich Little on Hollywood Squares last month. Rich, as Ah-nold, said that "I'm working on a new movie about the great composers. It's also an action movie, with Bruce Willis as Mozart, Sylvester Stallone as Wagner, and me....I'll be Bach."
I still love Rich. He's the best of the impressionists, IMO.

No,no,no! You are all wrong! Pauley Shore is playing Gord!! With his Shakesperian background he'll add even more dimensions to the character! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Hmm, Judy: Maybe Rich Little could play Gord!

Borderstone 11-26-2003 08:04 PM

Rich Little could only play Nixon or Steve Martin or Johnny Carson! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/wink.gif

SomewhereupinMichigan 11-26-2003 09:14 PM

Hmmm...really Border? What are Nixon, Steve Martin and Johnny Carson doing in a movie about Gord?

Borderstone 11-30-2003 07:26 PM

They're not. I know Rich Little couldn't play GL. (Then again, those 3 guys might have met Gordon!) http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif
