Are there any lines from any GL songs that you like only you change it a little bit?

Mine is "Does anyone know where the love of God goes when the pain turns the minutes to hours"

There are a few I change when I perform them, just to make them less gender specific. On Heaven Don't Deserve Me I sing: "As much as anybody can" instead of "as much as my old woman can."
Also, on Home From The Forest, instead of singing: "In an old house on a hillside in some forgotten town" I sing "In a long forgotten town." There are several others I change, but that's usually because I forget a word or two of the lyrics.

Gordon himself completly omits the verse in "Cotton Jenny" that goes:"In the hot, sickly south. Where they say, well shut my mouth!" I can't blame him really but a simple change in phrasing is all that was really needed. I personally change it to:"In the hot, misty south. Where the Mississippi flows to the mouth." A lot better, don't you think. It's nice that he doesn't want to offend people but just change the words, don't erase history completely. It's been me and I'll catch ya on the flipside of Sundown! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/cool.gif

"Her names Leanne and I'll be dammed if I should know her face, she leaves me not knowin what to do"

Don't correct me, I changed left to leaves and all those others on purpose/why don't you guess why?
