Why oh why don't we get Canadian stations here! Radio and TV. The first link I went to has nothing about Gord being there, so I wasn't too tore up. I agree Char, CRAPOLA!

The information I've seen about the concert suggests that Lightfoot will not be there. Check out this excerpt from an article on the myKwartha.com:

"Following a meeting on Thursday afternoon, concert organizer Mr. Guiel confirmed at least three acts that will hit the Memorial Centre stage: Ronnie Hawkins and The Hawks, young Bailieboro blues sensation Jimmy Bowskill and country star Jason McCoy.

As of Thursday afternoon, Mr. Guiel was waiting to hear back from three other groups. He wouldn't say who they were for fear the rumour mill would start churning again.

"One is a local band and other are Canadian bands people will know," is all Mr. Guiel would say.

Jeff Healey called Mr. Guiel and said he would like to be here for the event to help out the people of Peterborough, but can't make the show due to "pressing issues."

The Tragically Hip have not scheduled nor has Canadian legend Gordon Lightfoot.

"If they become available for other dates, we won't turn them down and will build a show around them," says Mr. Guiel.

He's received dozens of calls from musicians wanting to perform from across Ontario. He says there is no more room on the bill."

Also, the CBC site about the concert mentions four acts but does not say anything about Gord.

Is this correct or does someone know more than I do?

It's official -- Lightfoot in concert line-up

The principal organizer of Friday's Peterborough Flood Relief Concert confirmed Wednesday
that legendary Canadian singer/songwriter Gordon Lightfoot will join Ronnie Hawkins for a few numbers at that event.
"I'm ecstatic that Gordon Lightfoot is coming to the aid of Peterborough on behalf of his old buddy
Ronnie Hawkins," enthused Terry Guiel.
"Gordon is once again showing his generosity for Canada.
It's great to have two music legends on the same stage."
According to Mr. Guiel, negotiations had been ongoing for some time with Mr. Lightfoot
regarding his performing at the fundraising event. That process ended Wednesday when
Mr. Lightfoot confirmed his attendance.
