Well hi there!
You will never know how delighted I am to be a part of this outstanding discussion forum on one of my favorite stars of all time! I was recommended to this forum by a very nice Email I received yesterday from another fan named Valerie. Many many thanks indeed for recommending me to this forum Valerie I appreciate it a whole lot. I am a 20 year old visually impaired boy and I live in Canada in a city called Mississauga which is in Ontario. I would very much love to correspond with any fan out there who has a large collection of Lightfoot material and who are willing to trade with me. Being blind it isn't easy to get some of these great CD's by artists such as Gordon, so if you would like to share your collection with me you may Email me anytime! My address is maheen5894@sympatico.ca I will really look forward to hearing from you! May God bless you and let's always keep Gordon's name alive! Sincerely, Maheen. |

Is there an address I can write to Gord at? I heard a few months ago that he was very ill, but I certainly hope he's doing a lot better now! You'll never know how much I appreciate all your warm welcoming responses tahnks very very much! One of my favorite songs of all time is a rare song he did I believe it's one of his very first recordings called Remember Me. It has that famous Nashville sound in it and I love that kind of style very much. You see folks unlike other 20 year olds I am into the old time country music and I just love the Nashville sound very m uch. Did Gordon record that song in Nashville with musicians such as Floyd Cramer Bob Moore, Gready Martin, Buddy Harmon etc? It doesn't sound like Gordon I must say but how I wish there were more of his stuff he did in 1962 was available. Take care and thanks again so much! Sincerely, Maheen. |
Maheen, i dig Remember Me and It's Too Late also...if you go to the cbc archive site you can see and hear Gord do Remember Me live (i don't think it's lipsynch but i only saw it once and the video window was very tiny, agh)
