The latest issue of Acoustic Guitar Magazine has a very nice interview with Gord and Terry Clements. Pretty long...includes guitar nuts & bolts, music industry/songwriting, special section with Terry, transcription of "Sundown", and a full page color photo of a Gibson 12 string (not exactly like Gord's though).

Hi Bill,
Thanks for the info. I have been waiting for this issue since mid december. It's pretty hard to get hold of a copy here in Vienna, so I have been visiting the newsstand at the Central Train Station (Westbahnhof) every other day. I got my copy today, and it will be online on Sunday, 16th. I will then post a short notification message under this topic. |
): I read this post and went to the store to buy the magazine, which is the Jan. issue according to Acoustic Guitar's webiste, and it was already out of the store, the Feb. issue was there! ):

I am having a disagreement with a friend, he`s a fan of Gordon Lightfoot`s and says he wrote Me & Bobby McGee, to which i said no way that was Kris Kristoferson`s song. I want proof if Gordon wrote it. please help me out.

Lightfoot apparantly had first crack at releasing the song, but album timing resulted in Roger Miller and Janis Joplin getting press first. Have heard that Kris plays uncredited on Lightfoot's version, but this may just be an urban legend.
