Gordon Lightfoot recorded a song on his first album entitled " Pride Of Man ", written by H. Camp. I'm not sure if any other Lightfoot fans have noticed but the lyrics hauntingly echo the events of 9/11 and the situation the world and the U.S. now finds themselves. I urge you all to give it a carefull listen to ...it gave me goosebumps!
Does anyone know more about the writer H. Camp? ------------------ On my second cup of coffee and I still can't face the day [This message has been edited by RickC (edited July 07, 2004).] |

Perhaps John can track the thread for you http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif Bru |
I just found this site so sorry if I'm bringing up an old topic http://www.corfid.com/ubb/redface.gif . I just find it amazing that Lightfoot recorded this song which is unfortnately more revelant today than it was in 67.

Is it a trait for all blondies to have such short memories? I thought at first that I was seeing double but an extremely short search here back as far as June the 26th revealed that Lily then had exactly the same thoughts and created a topic that was finally answered when Val quoted her Hamilton Camp site's address.see:- http://www.corfid.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000796.html I am however pleased to help out on this occasion ------------------ My Gordon Lightfoot webring starts at http://www.johnfowles.org.uk/lightfoot |

Does anyone know more about the writer H. Camp? RickC: Please visit Hamilton Camp's new official web site at hamiltoncamp.com . I won't repeat what I said in the earlier thread, which John F kindly referenced, but I think the site will tell you a lot about him. He's a singer/songwriter and an actor, and has quite a long list of credits in both disciplines. He is still writing and recording, with a CD in 1999 and a new one in the works. ------------------ Valerie Magee Visit my business site at mageenet.biz, Hamilton Camp's Offical Web Site at hamiltoncamp.com , and Cathy Cowette's web site at cathycowette.com |

And I think people will be saying the same thing in 2054 and 3004, and probably were voicing similar thoughts in 1492. Very powerful song covered by our # 1 singer.
