I was listening to "Waiting for You" and again realized that Gord was in that element of family when he wrote that, young family new babies, the awe (or aw-w)stage. He sang "children are all that the earth wants to know---etc---up here in the north land. I was just getting a first idea of what his new songs after this episode of his life will be composed within the context of... I think a different perspective than any of us have ever heard, but, unique to his flavor. I do hope is still writing songs, it did sound like that is what he is up to now didn't it?

I hope on his new album, he sings them like he did 'Waiting For You' and 'Drink Yer Glasses Empty'. It was all echoey, kind of like on Gords Gold 2.

Gwen, you are so deep! I had a hard time understanding the topic question! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/biggrin.gif lol!
GL has so much life experience...more so than many, so I am guessing that the lyrics he will write now will reflect that. They will be all the more rich and full of wisdom and meaning! |
Wow,Gwen! That's a deeper title than even I would use. Despite my goofiness,I can go prety deep but I usually don't because I didn't want to appear like a know it all. Now that you've described Waiting For You,I understand it better now too. As well as the fact that now that I'm over 2 years into GL,I understand him and his music more than ever before. His "hits" have taken a back seat to the overall picture and that's the 1st time I have ever really done that with any artist. Do you think also that understanding others thoughts and ideas better makes us understand ourselves more? I'd like to think so. Catch ya later! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif
