I was at the show in Red Bank last Wednesday night and while Gord's strumming and voice were not as strong as I had hoped it was still a magical night. His second set had more umph behind it.

The set list was a good mix of his standards, not so main stream songs and songs from Harmony. I too was disappointed when he could not whistle to The Ghosts of Cape Horn and had to hold myself back from assisting.

The theatre was almost full with the GL faithful and fortunately most people just sang along in their heads so all could enjoy Gord alone.

I was hoping he would do A Song for a Winter's Night or Cristian Islands but no luck.

I was on Ebay loking for GL stuff and came across a guy that is burning DVD copies of the Much Music TV show GL was on in the late 90's - would expect that to be short lived.

Lastly I found a link to a guy named J.P Cormier from Cape Breton who did a tribute CD to GL - his sample songs sound good.

Cheers,
DF

Don't expect the DVD to disappear from Ebay. Ebay does not remove items or sellers unless the official "copyright holder" complains. With rare exceptions, that doesn't happen. Just take a tour of Ebay to see how many illegal CDs and DVDs there are, many of which are CD-Rs and DVD-Rs without the quality of manufactured discs. Ebay is apparently big enough and a darling of Wall Street, so they get away with this ridiculous stance. Of course, it is potential buyers who see all the bootlegs, and most artists and record companies don't spend time policing Ebay except for their million sellers.

J.P. Cormier is outstanding. Every song is as good as the clips. He's a real GL fan; even has his own Lightfoot signature guitar (see my web site for a picture).
