In Mr Hkusam's report and setlist for the Tulalip concert I read

I believe I read somewhere a while ago that at one concert Gord had indeed done SDYS as a complete solo and in Concord NH I thought we were going to hear it that way there, but as confirmed the following evening in Burlington, on both ocassions Rick came in what seemed very late with his first spine tingling bass thump.I love how he does it and I told him so later. OK I have just replayed SDYS as recorded on the IYCRMM album and Rick's subtle bass licks start quite near the beginning before his great crescendo that comes in as Gord starts to ask "will you gather daydreams" and at Burlington I especially watched Rick's right hand and it was nowhere near the strings until that point. I think that this must be what Gord meant when he admitted to us that he had made some changes to SDYS. It certainly made me feel that he was going to do the whole song solo, It also emphasizes that up to that point the guitar playing is 100% Gord, simply wonderful stuff (no disrespect to Terry intended). So if you go to a concert and have the undoubted privilage of hearing SDYS, take note.
