Every album I have prior to Gords Gold do not have the lyrics printed in the little pamplet that comes with it. However, every album after Gords Gold have the lyrics printed in the pamplet(except for Gords Gold 2). Is this true with all of the albums before and after Gords Gold?

Well, safe to say that all of his 80's & 90's Lps & Cds have the lyrics "imprinted". I'd say none of his 60s LP's originally had a lyrics sheet enclosed, because that wasn't a standard practice back then.
As you know I own all the LP's before GG and yes, mine don't have lyrics enclosed but then again,I bought thenm used,so it's impossible to know. ...but I wouldn't worry to much about that, all his lyrics are on here and some other sites. Been me,Aurevoir! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/cool.gif

Remember ,back in the old days, when the lyrics were printed on the album jacket? Boy, times sure have changed so much. Linda

Summertime Dream, released in 1976, has the lyrics printed on the liner. As well as a beautiful poem (or lyrics that don't have music) written on the back of the album cover. I concur with Borderstone that the albums from the 80's on have the lyrics printed on the liners and none prior to Summertime Dream do. And I was lucky enough to be able to buy the albums new and "factory sealed". http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

Speaking of lyrics. Ahem. When is Harmony going to be added to the Corfid website along with lyrics?

Factory sealed,Sundown 17?? I'm totally jealous! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/tongue.gif <---for lack of a jealousy smiley.

In Awe,I have an album or so with lyrics on the back,I think it's Paul Simon's,"Still Crazy After etc." ...and Violet,I think the lyrics will be up there as soon as Florian has time. There's really no rush though, the lyrics in the CD are big enough for just about anyone to read. Been me,Aurevoir! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/cool.gif

You haven't hit 40 yet have you Borderstone? Get back to me at 40 and let me know how big that type is. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/tongue.gif

Lyrics and chords for all the Harmony tunes are already available on Wayne Francis's site...the unofficial "official" Gordon Lightfoot website: www.lightfoot.ca/lyrics.htm

VBH, the lack of focus hits right about 40 doesn't it? My arms ended up getting so short that I had to break down and get reading glasses - to go with my contacts. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/frown.gif

Yep. There is no focus point left for me anymore that I can find http://www.corfid.com/ubb/frown.gif I think I should just carry around a magnifying glass.

Well, I'm 52 and my focus is still good, and I don't need reading glasses - my eye doctor was impressed. On the other hand I'm so nearsighted I'm nearly blind as a bat - must be some sort of compensation. My mother (77) never used reading glasses either, so maybe it's a familial trait.

I was hoping it would all even out as I got older. I'm incredibly nearsighted too, somewhere over 20/200 with astigmatism. I figured my eyes flattening out would be a good thing. Nah. Now I just can't see anything with nothing. Sucks.

Which brings me to a reallly important question. Does Gordon wear reading glasses? http://www.corfid.com/ubb/biggrin.gif For some reason I find older men in reading glasses sexy. Yeah, I know, odd, but there you go.

I believe he does, or did at one time - I seem to recall a candid photo of him with wire rims but maybe I'm hallucinating.

20/200? Try 20/475 and 20/525

Ohhhhhh. I'd offer serious money for that picture. Wire rim glasses sighhhhhhh . . . And yes, once again, I'm strange.

They make contact for you? http://www.corfid.com/ubb/biggrin.gif I just got done ordering new ones. The left eye was cheap, the right eye with all the astigmatism cost a bloody fortune.

I saw that picture too, of course Gord looks fine any time. My eyes are about the same. Sigh. I'm trying to figure out when I am 97 how I am going to put in my contacts.
