Maine has a perfect Lightfoot license plate already... the ring necked loon plate. You can special order it.
You can also get one with a bird or a lobster, but they don't have that special Lightfoot touch. |

Talking of special plates reminds me that the special 1967 licence plates issued in Quebec featured different front and rear plate designs. The ones intended for the front had EXPO 67 writ large and the actual licece plate number much smaller. Urban legend had it that the first Quebecker to venture into Maine in 1967 got a parking ticket made out to licence tada tada... you got it!
"expo 67" http://www.rockdiscography.com/posse.../lo_expo67.jpg so he did not pay it http://www.rockdiscography.com/posse...7greatbrit.jpg the amusing and imaginative UK Pavilion at Expo 67 John Fowles Laughter is the best medicine You gotta larf haven't you |

Those are the ones, John. But you left out the Chickadee license plate.

I'll have to look into it if I get a car and license!
